“Wildflower Day Spa - Organic, Natural, Beautiful”
A Message from our Owner, Diana McLamore:
Why did you call your spa Wildflower? I decided to call my spa Wildflower because
I think that there is true and simple beauty in Nature. I believe that a wild Texas
bluebonnet or Indian paintbrush flower is every bit as gorgeous as a multi-colored,
hybrid rose. Wildflowers grow naturally in harmony with the world. I want people
to accept and rejoice in their natural beauty and accept the gifts from the earth
that can be even more powerful and effective than the cheap, toxic, chemical-laden
My Personal Journey inspired me to share.Like many people, I have suffered from
seasonal allergies, skin problems, acne, dandruff and other sensitivities since I
was a child. My skin reacts negatively to many lotions, shampoos, medications and
other products. I'll be honest and say that, until I developed sensitivities, I never
gave much thought to organic and natural products. I bought whatever was on sale
at the grocery or drug store, especially if it had a pretty picture or said "Natural"
on the label.
When you visit Wildflower Day Spa, I will be more than happy to share with you what
I have learned from many years spent in a personal quest to find organic, truly natural
products that work well. In all the treatments that we do at Wildflower we use as
many organic or naturally wild-crafted skin care products as we can including: lotions,
carrier oils, sugar and salt scrubs, essential oils and skin care products.
Traditional Medicine had failed me. I also used to unquestioningly take whatever
medication was given to me by my doctors. I trusted them to know what was best for
me and my health. However, I began to lose faith in traditional medicine after I
had some severe allergic reactions and adverse side effects from some prescription
medications. It seemed like none of the prescription medications or over-the-counter
drugstore products were working for me any more. As I got older, I developed even
more allergies and sensitivities. That's when I began investigating organic skin
care products and shampoos. I wondered if alternative, holistic and natural therapies
might be just as good or better for me than all the prescription pills and medicated
creams I had been using.
Wildflower strives to offer the best services to our clients. We are now offering
Eco-Friendly, low water usage foot baths for our pedicures. You can choose to have
your nails painted with Zoya 5-free nail polish which does NOT contain Dibutyl Phthalate,
Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, or Camphor. Zoya environmentally friendly
nail polish that is safe for pregnant women and environmentally sensitive individuals,
including cancer survivors.
We continue to grow our business to serve you. Like many small businesses, Wildflower
started with just one person. However, I realized that I needed help when I got so
busy with my massage and spa practice that I started skipping family meals, rejecting
invitations from friends and missing out on a lot of my kids' after school activities.
At first I just added a second massage therapist handle my overflow clients. Now,
the Wildflower staff includes massage therapists, estheticians, nail techs and cosmetologists.
Wildflower recently expanded by moving our staff break room to another small suite
across the hall, we can now utilize every room in our Suite to do spa treatments.
